# Where's my car? #Alfa_Romeo [[Articles]] ![[alfa_romeo_small.png]] I'd bought the car with an expected delivery date within ten days, taking it to the last day of the month - "It'll definitely be here by then". I don't know if things have improved, but at the time, Stellantis didn't get the best of reviews regarding logistics when it came to delivering cars to dealerships. Monday - The end of the month came and went, and no word from the dealership. I phoned them on the Monday morning of the following week. The car was still at the 'depot', which I understood to be a field/airfield/yard somewhere near Southampton. I was promised that transport had been booked and the car should be at the dealership very soon. Tuesday - I was assured that the car had now made its way to Rockingham, a Stellantis storage area not too far from the dealership. The dealer promised that the car would be with them the following day, any problems they'd collect it with their trailer. Handover was duly arranged for the coming Friday. Wednesday - I received a phone call: the transporter from Rockingham had arrived but my car wasn't on it. Rockingham were saying that it was definitely on a transporter that morning. So, where is it? Late Wednesday afternoon I received another call. "We've found your car, it's in Cardiff". Alfa Romeo's UK HQ had got involved and located the car via its tracker. Stellantis Cardiff was contacted and initially knew nothing of the car, but eventually found it. Further transport was being arranged! Thursday - Several calls from me to the dealership - car not yet arrived. I did however receive an apology, by way of a phone call, from the dealership's head office. Handover now moved to the Saturday morning. Friday - Lunchtime - "Your car has arrived!!". Handover now moved to late Saturday afternoon. Bumping the handover times caused an unforeseen problem.
